Under the BIG Top!

This years' summer fun theme at Weekday Learning Center is Under The Big Top!  Allison, my co-teacher, and I had a ball decorating our room.  We set up a photo booth for the first day of summer fun.  Here I am clowning around for the camera.

There is also a ticket booth to take photos.
On the large wall in the back of the room we used a few yards of fabric and glued on clothes pins.  This doubles as a drying rack and a bulletin board.  The "tent" is made from plastic table clothes I purchased at the dollar store.
I couldn't take down my Pete the Cat.  We use him through out the school year.  His shoes attach with Velcro and each month we switch them out for the color of the month.
The circus train turned out super cute!  Took animals we had and made train cars to house them.  Directions for an easy train are posted on First Palette.
These cute crayon art letters were a gift from a student we had this year.
We had to include our question of the day.  This is a neat way of having the children sign in each day, but in a fun way.  We post a question each day that relates to the activities we have planned.  The kids then answer the questions as they arrive each morning.
Summer fun starts on Tuesday.  I found tons of fun circus themed ideas, crafts, fun and games on Pinterest.  Click here to see my Under the Big Top board.  I can't wait to clown around with the kids Under the Big Top!
