Bailey and Jack have been going to Children's Music at AUMC and today they had their first performance. Here is a picture of the "Joyful Sounds" group K-2nd. Here is a short video clip of them singing. They all did a great job! Looking forward to Cookies and Carols on December 12th.
While we were in San Antonio, we spent a day at Morgan's Wonderland. This park is designed for special needs kids and adults as well as the care takers and family. The park offers rides, fishing, music, water sensory play, and more. It was impressive to see how the rides were all wheel chair accessible.
Jack's favorite part was the music sensory area. Here is a short video of him playing one of the many instruments.
Bailey picked Morgan's Wonderland over Sea World and Schlitterbahn. She said it was her favorite part of our vacation.
Went to Sea World this past week and had the best time. The park was not crowded at all. We only had to wait about 10-15 minutes for the rides.
We watch Shamoo.
Fed the dolphins.
Here is a short video of the kids getting wet at the Atlantis ride.
Bailey rode all the rides, including the big roller coater. Jack wasn't tall enough for the big roller coaster, but rode everything else. They are both fearless.
Friday was Jack's kindergarten program at Willow Creek Elementary. Jack did a great job singing all the songs. He gave Christian and I a thumbs up after each song.
Here is a short video of Lolly Pop. Jack is standing to the far right.
Here they are singing the months of the year.
After the program was over, we were invited to go visit Jack's classroom. They had a pillow case with the whole classes hand prints for us to take home. They also had a time capsule, made from a Pringles can, for us to look at now and put away for his high school graduation. I thought this was a very cool idea.
"Frog and Toad Junior" was this year's 1st grade program. Bailey was one of the flowers and the back up frog. I am so glad that she wasn't too disappointed that the frog showed up to preform.
Here Bailey is with her music teacher, Ms. Paul
It was a great show. All the 1st graders and Ms. Paul did a great job!
Today was the annual Snow Day at AUMC. It was a fun filled day with pizza, crafts, hay rides with Santa, and of course - SNOW! Living in Texas, I guess this is what my kids will think snow is.
They also had a nativity set up with all the clothes to dress up in. My kids were the cutest little angels I have ever seen.
Today was the 34th time on record that Houston received SNOW. It is a real treat for the kids. Even the small amount we received warranted a trip outside to play. In the pictures you really can't tell how much is was coming down. Here is a short video. This way we can have snow at our house anytime ;~)
My mom got Bailey tickets to Disney on Ice. They show was a few days before her birthday so it was an early surprise. We wrapped up a stuff Mickey and Minnie with a note saying she was going to Disney On Ice. She was so funny. When she opened the gift, she read the card and thought we were going to Disney World! Bailey was still excited to hear that it was
After brushing his teeth, Jack looked in the mirror to see he had a tooth paste beard. He said "Look! It's Santa" I ran to get the camera and here is what he had to say....
Yesterday, I took the kids to Logan's 4th birthday party at Life Time Fitness.
Bailey and Jack had a great time with the punch balls. They also played human bowling. They shot some hoops and everyone loved the parachute. What a great party!
