Bailey's Rodeo

Yesterday, Bailey announces "Everyone come to my room for the rodeo"! She had made tickets with our names and money (five $1.00 bills) for Christian, Jack and me. Then put on her own little rodeo with her pink unicorn, cowboy hat and microphone. She asked for volunteers from the audience to participate. I wasn't aloud to take pictures of Christian riding the pink unicorn, but the mental picture makes me laugh! During intermission, she sold toys and books. Everything cost $1.00. She had put so much planning into her show and it turned out great. Never cheered and laughed so hard. Way To Go Cowgirl Bailey!

June 2010 Picture of the Month

Summer is here! The kids only have two days of school left for this school year. We are going to do Space Camp at my school over the summer. This will keep us busy for three days a week. We also plan to take full advantage of the pool.

Scavenger Hunt

On our recent trip to East Texas, Meme and Pobby put together a scavenger hunt for the grand kids. They had to find items such as an apple, tennis ball, pine cone, plastic spoon, picture of you, cup with your name on it, happy face rocks, bamboo, American flag, and the list went on. Here Pobby is explaining how to play the game.

After everyone looked for the items, Pobby checked to make sure you got all the items on the list.

The kids love it!

Jack's Kindergarten Program

Friday was Jack's kindergarten program at Willow Creek Elementary. Jack did a great job singing all the songs. He gave Christian and I a thumbs up after each song.
Here is a short video of Lolly Pop. Jack is standing to the far right.

Here they are singing the months of the year.

After the program was over, we were invited to go visit Jack's classroom. They had a pillow case with the whole classes hand prints for us to take home. They also had a time capsule, made from a Pringles can, for us to look at now and put away for his high school graduation. I thought this was a very cool idea.

Crazy Glasses

On a recent visit to Dollar Tree Jack insisted that we get crazy glasses for the whole family. He actually put back toys so I would by everyone a pair. Here he is posing for pictures with his new purchases.
Then he has the rest of us join in the photo shoot.

Jack is so crazy and so sweet at the same time. He was so insistent that we all get a pair. Then seem so pleased with himself while we were taking pictures. It was an afternoon to remember!

Openning Day at the Pool

Here are a couple of pictures of the 2010 openning day at the pool! Looking forward to spending all summer swimming!

20 Minute Kite

We have been going to Mystery Monday at the library. We made a 20 Minute Kite and they were a BIG HIT! They were very easy to make and the kids ran around with them for hours. Here is Bailey with her kite.
Jack was so excite to see his creation fly.
These pictures were taken outside our new Kingwood Library. This would be great to make to take to the beach!

From the pancake breakfast to dinner at Carrabba's, it was a great day. I can't wait to use the gift card to the nail salon. I am truly blessed!

Bailey's Note to the Tooth Fairy

Bailey lost her 9th tooth tonight. Here is the note (or should I say poem) she left for the tooth fairy:
My tooth is under my soft sweet pillow. It is safe and sound.
But when I look there in the morning, it will not be found.
She taped her tooth to the picture so it is under her pillow. What a creative mind!

Bailey's Morning Glory

Here is Bailey standing next to her morning glory that she started from a seed at school. It is now almost to the top of the fence. We can't wait to see if it blooms!

Parts, More Parts & Even More Parts

Tedd Arnold is my new favorite kids author. He has written a three book series about a little boy who takes a bit too literally all the things he hears people say. The books are about a boy’s misunderstanding of “body-part idioms.” For example, when his dad says, “Give me a hand,” the boy thinks his dad really wants him to give him his hand!
The three books in the series are
Parts, More Parts, and Even More Parts. They are three great books. I highly recommend you check them out on your next trip to the library, especially if you have boys!
