Santa's Favorite

This is a short video of the kids visiting one of our neighbors last night. These people go all out at Christmas. They won "Santa's Favorite" for all of Kingwood, Texas. It takes them five to six weeks to set it all up. Merry Christmas!

A Few Snow Pics

Here are a few pictures of what is left of the snow.

SNOW

For the second time, in my ten years here in Houston, it has snowed. Last night our yard was covered, but this morning there are only a few traces. I didn't think to take any pictures. I guess I was over come with the cold, since the high Tuesday was 76. That's Texas winter, what can I say. Bailey just wanted to touch it. I know she and Jack are going to be disappointed that all the snow has already melted away.

Early Birthday Celebration

Last night, my wonderful husband surprised me with a turtle ice cream cake from Marble Slab Creamery. Christian’s football banquet is on Wednesday, so we celebrated with cake a little early. For as long as I can remember, one of my birthday requests is an ice cream cake. That is what my mom got us as kids and it just isn’t birthday without it. The Bailey and Jack love blowing out the candles. They helped me blow out the single red striped candle. Then each had their own turn. How fun!

In Front of the Tree

Last night was my work Christmas party. Forty of the teachers and staff from the Weekday Learning Center went to Italiano's Restaurant for a wonderful buffet dinner. We had salad, Lasagna, chicken Parmesan, chicken Alfredo, canola and cheese cake. Played a gift exchange game and I got the cutest Santa and Snowman. Before I left, I had Christian snap a picture of me and the kids.

Jingle Bells

Here is Bailey’s rendition of Jingle Bells!

WLC Christmas Star

Every year the preschool has each class make a yard sign to auction off after the Christmas program. This year we got a large star to decorate to go along with this year’s “SHINE” theme. I painted a large gingerbread house on the T-TH Bears and then had each child pose for a picture. Here is my picture with the star!

Turkey Cookie for the Teacher

These cute turkeys are so simple and the teachers just loved them. I cut five feathers from construction paper, one head, two hearts, & an orange triangle for the beak. I taped them together & put a label on the back with Thanksgiving wishes from our family.
