Christmas Lights & Trains

Last night, we went driving around Kingwood to look at Christmas lights. The kids got all ready for bed and we were off for a fun night. Took some hot cider and a few snacks along for the ride. The best houses are in Woodstream. There are two that have trains set up. We had the best time!

Holiday Gatherings

This year I have been to a few holiday gatherings and they have been so much fun. First, my MOPS group had dinner at Joan's on my birthday. She had a wonderful Italian meal and her house was decorated beautifully for Christmas.
Tiffany had a group of us over to decorate ornaments and wine glasses. I just love crafty fun! After her party those of us that work at WLC went on to our work Christmas party.
I also went to my friend and co-worker house for a fun night. Lori served gingerbread martinis and had a few fun games. I have not laughed so much in such a long time.
Merry Christmas

Cookies and Carols

The kids participated in this years "Cookies and Carols" at AUMC. Every musical group at church participated in the joyous evening. Everyone was there from Santa to Frosty the Snowman. Here is a short video of their new song.

It was a very fun evening for everyone!

Here is the recipe....

1 ounce Baileys Irish Cream liqueur
1/2 ounce KahlĂșa liqueur
1/2 ounce Monin gingerbread syrup
1/2 scoop vanilla ice cream — semi-melted
...Whipped cream
Gingerbread marshmallow or cookie
Mix the first five ingredients over ice, shake well, pour into a chilled martini glass and top with a generous portion of whipped cream and a gingerbread cookie.

Bailey's 8th Birthday

We had a great time at Bailey's Butterfly Birthday party. My friend, Val, painted every one's nails with flowers, butterflies or ladybugs.
We had a great turn out. We had all ten girls we invited and eight of the mom's stayed.

Bailey's Bridging Ceremony

Bailey finally had her bridging ceremony going from Daisy Girl Scout to Brownies. They had the ceremony in a local park that had several bridges.
Bailey is now officially a Brownie Scout!
The ceremony was a very nice!

Bailey's Birthday:Part I

Grandma is here for a visit and gave Bailey an early birthday gift.
My mom got her a Friends Boutique 18” doll (like an American Girl) and horse from WalMart.
Bailey has been playing with "Little Bailey" a lot. Looks like we need some more clothes and accessories to go with her.

My GREAT Teacher/Coach

I got this email from Jack's teacher and I thought I would share it. Its about Christian.
Hey Mrs. B:

So, my wife, Shauna Swinney, is the school psychologist at Kingwood High. She came home on Friday raving about some "coach history teacher" who gave one of the best high school lectures she has ever heard. Keep in mind that, as per her job description, she has to observe students each week (almost daily!) and has been in tons of classes across the district. For the most part, her descriptions of teachers' classes are average - decent content, structure and interest level for the students. But apparently, Mr. Barger gave an exceptional performance on Friday with a lecture about prohibition which incorporated elements of Nascar, video clips, etc. She couldn't believe a "coach could do that well..."
I had to laugh at that last one!

Anyway, tell the man of the house that he gave an amazing presentation on Friday - well above that of his peers apparently! Nicely done!

Enjoy the cool Sunday weather.

JT

I would love to see him in action.

Wild About Kids Family Day & Auction

This year, instead of a sit down dinner, we had a carnival day and silent auction. It was a great fun family day with lots of carnival type food and games. We couldn't have asked for better weather. Here is a picture of me and Tiffany, my MWF partner.
Such a fun day and I just LOVE our new shirts!

Magic

Here is the Magnificent Jack B and his lovely assistant, Bailey.
Jack went to a magic birthday party and was all about it. I got this cute magician costume 50% off after Halloween. It just happened to have two of the vest in the package. Here Bailey is pulling a goose out of her hat.
Jack made Bailey disappear, turn into a tiger and a few other tricks!
It was super cute. I wish I would have gotten some of it on video. Oh well, there is always next time.
