Snake Charmer

Hearing the whistle for adult swim at the pool today, Bailey and Jack headed over to the kiddie pool. As they played in the water, I noticed that Jack was holding something running it back and forth. “Jackie Boy, what do you have there?” I said. “A snake” said Jack. Thinking it was a rubber snake another child had left at the pool, I didn’t think anything about it. Holding the thin brown snake just behind the head, Jack lifted it out of the water. Oh my God! It was a real snake! I yelled and Jack tossed it over to the side. It slithered off the concrete, into the grass and it was gone. Jack calling “My snake! My snake!” and I couldn’t believe what had just happened. The life guards came to the rescue, but weren’t able to find Jack’s new friend. Luckily, no one was hurt.
