The Greatest Show On Earth

Yesterday, our family went to the GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH: Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. What a fantastic day!We spent the first 30 minutes visiting with the circus animals.

Next, it was off for an hour of the pre-show. This was FANTASTIC! We go to meet many of the characters from the circus. There were lots of acrobats, aerialists and animals to meet. We got to see pre-show performances by plate-spinning clowns, Chinese jugglers and hand-balancers, and Frisbee fetching canines.
We also got to see a “mammoth masterpiece” painted by the Picasso of Pachyderms.

Bailey and Jack tried on circus costumes.

They both were even chosen as a volunteer!

There was so much to do and see,
and the show hadn't even started!
We made our way to our seats, toting popcorn and drinks, ready to settle in for a spectacular circus display.

The circus has definitely changed since I was a kid. What a fantastic day and I am sure this was the kind of day that creates childhood memories!

Christian and I took the kids bowling for the first time today. It was a huge hit with both Bailey and Jack.
Everyone's scores were pretty low, but the energy was high and we all had a great time!

Jack Bee

Jack is attending the summer program offered at my preschool. He is doing well and I am feeling better about him attending regular Kindergarten in the Fall. Jack's teacher, Ms. Beverly, took this picture of Jack dressed up as a bee. When I asked Jack who was in the picture he said "It's Jack Beeeeee"

Palm Beach

On our recent trip to Galveston, we went to Palm Beach at Moody Gardens. We had the best time on the soft white sandy beaches and in the freshwater lagoons. Bailey and Jack had a “splashing" good time playing at the Aquarium Adventure playground and riding the water slides.
Jack loved the water tower, as you can see in the video. It released water about every five minutes.
It was a super fun family day!

Pantene Beautiful Lengths

We cut off Bailey's locks for Pantene Beautiful Lengths. It takes 6 ponytails to make a wig. As Pantene Beautiful Lengths wigs are created, they are distributed for free through select American Cancer Society wig banks across the country. Bailey decided to donate her hair for a great cause. She has such a big heart.
Here is Bailey's sporty new hairdo.
I think she is lookin' cute as ever!

Spaghetti Casserole

Spaghetti Casserole is a family favorite around here.
It is cheap, easy and great left over.
1 lb. cooked spaghetti noodles
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 jar spaghetti sauce
1 can tomato sauce
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Place cooked spaghetti noodles in a 9x13 pan. Brown ground beef and onion. Season to taste. Add sauces to meat & onion and heat through. Spoon evenly over noodles. Top with cheddar cheese. Bake 15 minutes on 250 degrees or until heated though. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
