Palm Sunday and Easter Egg Hunt

Today was Palm Sunday. The kids participated at the beginning of the service by placing palms on the alter.
After the service, the Easter Egg Hunt was under way. The Easter bunny made his appearance too. Here he is posing with Bailey.

Bailey is painting "stained" glass at the craft table.
Jack's favorite is the big blow up slide.
We had a fabulous time. Couldn't have asked for better weather.

Yard Update 2010

Last spring break we did a big yard make over. This year we did remove some more bushes and replaced them with Indian Hawthorne and some annuals. Here are some pictures of this years updated yard.
Here I am admiring my hard work and my freshly painted toes ;~)
Spring break has been great weather to work in the yard.

St. Patrick's Day 2010

Here we are all decked out in GREEN for St. Patrick's Day 2010. We had planned to go to the rodeo, but could pass up the free tickets for last Saturday. Thank you Brenda L. This is why we have the green cowboy hat. We all took a turn with the hat. Some how, Bailey makes this hat look good.

Even Jack is looking good in a pimp daddy sort of way ;~)

Grandma is looking good in green.
Bailey took this picture of me. Do you think she could have zoomed in any more?
We finished up the day with green shamrock pancakes.

Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo

Yesterday, Mom and I took the kids to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
It was a wonderful Spring day. We started out our day with a barbecue lunch...yummy. Here is a sausage on a stick with a roll at the bottom.
Then it was onto watch the Mutton Bustin'. This is little kids trying to ride a sheep for six seconds. Both kids took a turn on the mechanical bull.
We had a great time doing the "Fun on the Farm" section. This allows children to explore the world of agriculture by following Farmer Joe through the process of producing farm products from planting to market.
We rode a few rides and played a few games.
We watched the pig races and then it was on the the indoor show.
What a great day! Yee Haw

WCE Open House

Yesterday Jack and I attended WCE's Open House. Here Jack is with Mr. Durcan and Mr. Traughber in the SCD classroom.
Here is the Kindergarten classroom and Jack's teacher, Mrs. Boatman.
Jack is pointing to his cowboy he made.
Jack's map of Texas is directly behind his head.
He was very excited to have me see his work.
One of my favorite parts of the tour was this cool picture board. It is the kids body's with a giant head.
Jack is doing very well at WCE and very happy to be there.
