That's What I'm Talkin' About!

Our family went out to eat at Outback last tonight. We haven't been there in what seems like forever, but we had a gift card and coupons (yeah). Jack is getting so much better at eating items from the menu and can't wait to get his food. When the waitress sat Jack's plate of chicken fingers and fries in front of him, I said "What do you say?" He looked up and told the waitress "That's what I'm talkin' about" and had a smile from ear to ear. The couple at the next table got such a kick out of this comment. On their way out, they came by and told Jack how cute his comment was. And to think, I thought he may never talk :0)

Circus: Zing Zang Zoom

We had a great time at the circus this year. This year's theme was Zing Zang Zoom. They did lots of magic tricks. The kids LOVED the preshow with all the animals, performers and activities. They even had a circus themed Orange County Chopper on display.

Bailey got a chance to walked on the tight rope.

Bailey's 1st Pedicure

Over the 4th of July holiday, I took Bailey with me to get a pedicure. This was her first time and she loved it. She is already planning to go back. We both picked a fun blue color this time.
Just love spending time with my girly girl :0)

4th of July Fun

We celebrated 4th of July with my in laws, better know as Pobby & Meme.

We set off a hundred poppers and snappers.

Jack was too sure about all the noise.

We also did a dozen sparklers.

Then cooled down with some bomb pops.

What a fun day of making memories.

4th of July Parade

Went to watch the 4th parade with the Koonce's.

I love a parade. The kids enjoyed cheering for the parade participants. Especially the one who were giving out candy! Such a fun day!

DESSERTS: 4th of July

Here are some of the yummy things I have made for this years 4th of July celebration. Can't wait to cut into the Red, White and Blue Fun Fetti Cake or take a bite of the pinwheel cookies. The kids will love fun star shaped marshmallows and snack mix.

ZooMobile

The Houston Zoo brought the ZooMobile to the Kingwood Library this week. The had a large display to touch and feel and they also brought several animals to pet. Here Bailey is with a ferret. Kids loved it!

July 2010 Picture of the Month

July is here and so is the heat. We have had such a dry Spring that we are ten inches behind in our rainfall for the year. Alex hit land around the Mexican boarder today and we have been getting some much need rain from that storm. Last month, spent some time in Galveston, started space camp at my school and attended Galactic Blast VBS. The kids have learned a lot about the solar system and space. This month we have plans to tour the Houston ship channel, go to the circus and the pool.

Kids Bureau of Investigation

The police were giving away fingerprint kits and badges at Sam's yesterday. The kids came home and played with that stuff for hours.

Agent B (aka Bailey) has such a vivid imagination. Her partner, Agent J (aka Jack), makes a great sidekick!

Toy Story 3

Went to see Toy Story 3 with the kids. This was Jack's first experience at the movie theater and he really enjoyed it! He was most curious about where the movie comes out of the wall. The movie was good. However, I did like Toy Story and Toy Story 2 better.

A Day at the Beach

Took the kids to Galveston yesterday.

It was a great day at the beach!

Galactic Blast

This week has been AUMC's VBS: Galactic Blast. I am in charge of crafts again this year. Cosmic Crafts 2010: We will be making Sand Art Star Key Chains, Galactic Blast/Color Scratch Book Marks, Galactic Blast Flying Disks, Constellation Magnets and Stamping your own awesome solar system.

They had a cute space seen painted on a board with cut outs to put your head through.

Father's Day 2010

Yesterday, we celebrated Father's Day with a delicious steak dinner and chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. Two of Daddy's favorites!

Out of the World DAD!

Our summer fun theme is "Lost In Space" this year at AUMC. And to go along with our theme, we made aliens to give to Dad for Father's Day. Very simple mirror painting in green and then we added eyes and a mouth.

Tooth Number Ten

The tooth fairy made yet another visit to Bailey last night. This is the tenth tooth she has lost.

Bailey's Rodeo

Yesterday, Bailey announces "Everyone come to my room for the rodeo"! She had made tickets with our names and money (five $1.00 bills) for Christian, Jack and me. Then put on her own little rodeo with her pink unicorn, cowboy hat and microphone. She asked for volunteers from the audience to participate. I wasn't aloud to take pictures of Christian riding the pink unicorn, but the mental picture makes me laugh! During intermission, she sold toys and books. Everything cost $1.00. She had put so much planning into her show and it turned out great. Never cheered and laughed so hard. Way To Go Cowgirl Bailey!

June 2010 Picture of the Month

Summer is here! The kids only have two days of school left for this school year. We are going to do Space Camp at my school over the summer. This will keep us busy for three days a week. We also plan to take full advantage of the pool.
