July 2011 Picture of the Month

It’s JULY! We have been taking full advantage of the pool, library and the local attractions. Can't wait to see what the remaining weeks of summer hold for the Barger's!

Cars 2

Took the kids to see Cars 2 yesterday. The kids snack at Starplex was a Cars themed box and souvenir cup. Movie was cute. I like the original Cars movie better, but the kids loved this one.

Pirates Bay

Pirates Bay is colorful Pirate themed water play center complete with a large dumping bucket and an awesome array of spray nozzles, tot slides, and water guns, a 671 foot long lazy river and two large slide towers. Tower activities include fun for both the little ones and daredevils with everything from run-out slides to racing tubes. They also have a flowrider surfing machine. We did it ALL. Bailey did awesome on the surf machine and we couldn't keep Jack off all the big slides. I took pictures with a disposable waterproof camera. Can't wait to get my pictures back!

Pirate Party

Ahoy mates….took the kids to a pirate party at the library and we dressed the part!

VBS - Shake It Up

This week we have been attending VBS at AUMC. The theme this year is Shake It Up! and we are cooking. This picture cracks me up. Jack and I are cheesing for the picture and Bailey forgot to cheese. Showing her preteen attitude already.

Triple Chocolate Cake

The AUMC Youth had a bake sale this past Sunday to raise money for their mission trip. I baked four mini triple chocolate cakes to donate. They sold for $5.00 each. We kept one for us and it was YUMMY!

AUMC's Mother Daughter Tea Party

The Women's group at AUMC hosted a Mother Daughter Tea Party. I took Bailey and we had a great time. The had lots of small fancy sandwiches, cookies, sweets and tea.

They also had hats, pearls and boas to dress up and take pictures.

We played some "tea" games and got to meet some new friends. We are looking forward to do it again next year!

Father's Day 2011

We went to the pool and grilled steaks for Father's Day. Christian's Play Station 3 broke and he bought himself a new one for Father's Day.

Kids Bowl Free Summer

I have signed the kids up for the "Kids Bowl Free" summer. We can bowl two games everyday this summer. We only have to rent shoes!

Jack's EEG

We had a second EEG done last week. Jack was such a trooper. He sat and let them "hook" him up to all the wires, blew a pin wheel for 3 minutes, watched a strobe light for 90 seconds and them rested for 20 minutes. The first test came back abnormal. We are hoping the for the same or better results.

Last Day of School!

Yesterday was the last day of the school year. Both, Bailey and Jack did well on there report cards and were excited to start the summer. We enjoyed a fun afternoon at the Reding's pool. Here is Jack posing for a picture. Love the no teeth grin :0)

Then Bailey had to pose with the water squirter.
We finished the day at the Movie Tavern. Went to see Kung Fu Panda 2 and then to Baskin Robbins for ice cream.

This outing was duel purpose. To have some fun family time, but also to keep Jack up. Having another EEG done today and he'll have to sleep for part of the test.

June 2011 Picture of the Month

Summer is here! Yesterday was the last day of school for the kids and they couldn’t be more excited to start the summer. We all have summer school this year. The kids and I are “Wild About Cooking” at my preschool and Christian is teaching history to high schoolers. We also have signed up for the Kids Bowl Free this summer. We have already gone once and they are ready to go back.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a nice LONG weekend!

Spent a little time at the pool.

Jack's MRI

We took Jack for a MRI on Wednesday. He did a super job and even requested I take his picture after he got his hospital attire on. His results came back good. We have another EEG on June 2nd.

Ice Cream Fun

Baskin Robbins emailed us that it was Bailey's 1/2 Birthday and attached a free ice cream coupon. How could we resist? Here is Bailey clowning around with what's left of her ice cream.

Kingwood Fine Arts Fest

Bailey's duck picture was selected to go to the Kingwood College Fine Arts Festival. We are so proud of our little artist!

Grandparents Day at HHE

Bailey's school hosted a "GRAND" Event and book fair. Meme and Pobby came down for the event. They had lunch with Bailey and went to the Book Fair to pick out a few items.

Then they went and picked up Jack from his school and went to the mall for some more fun!
