Bailey's Special Day

Today was an early release day for the kids. We had Bailey pick a special friend to celebrate her birthday. Here is a picture of Audrey, Bailey and Jack getting ready to sing happy birthday.

After pizza and cake, we went to the Children's Museum of Houston A great time was had by all. Here are a few pictures from the Museum.

Had a great time, but I think this just might be the last time we go to the Children's Museum. My kids are just getting too big!

Bailey's Celebrates Early

Meme and Pobby came down to help out with the kids and while they were here, we celebrated Bailey's birthday. Here she is all smiles with her BIG gift!

Opening the package to reveal a big purple bean bag chair.
She also celebrated with a chocolate peanut butter cupcake.

Bailey's birthday isn't until the 19th, so we'll be celebrating again.

Trunk or Treat 2011

This year's Trunk or Treat at AUMC was SPOOKTACULAR!

We had pizza, cotton candy, made a craft ... and trick or treated. Here is "Mario" with Princess Peach.

We also took a few turns on the blow up slides.

First Jack.
Then Bailey.

We had such a fun time despite the windy cold weather.

Texas doesn't do the cold :0)

Go Pink! Go Mustangs!

Here is a picture of Jack cheering on daddy’s team, the Kingwood Mustangs! They asked fans to wear pink last night to show support for breast cancer.

The cheer leaders were selling these pink bandannas to raise money for breast cancer research.

What a fun night. It was great to see all the pink supporters!

Fall Fest 2011

We had a great time at the Crosby Community Center's Fall Fest this year. The kids played a few carnival games.

Got a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.

Decorated their pumpkins with stickers and some hair.
Then went for a hay ride. Yes, they are sitting on hay. It didn't make it into the picture.

Finished up the event with a hot dog and chips for lunch.

Such a fun day!

New Vest

We got some cooler temps and rain all day long today! This gave Bailey a reason to wear her “new” vest that she got yesterday at Good Will for $3.99. Don’t you just love the red leopard?

Go 2011 Mustangs!

For the past several years I have been making a picture for Christian to put on his desk in the coaches office. Here is this years addition.

Pumpkin Cake

Fall is officially here and what better way to celebrate than with pumpkin cake!

This recipe is very simple and delicious!
Pumpkin Cake

1 cup oil
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 can Libby’s pumpkin

Combine eggs, sugar and oil. In a separate bowl, combine the remaining ingredients except the pumpkin. Combine mixtures. Fold in pumpkin. Bake at 350 for 55 minutes in a greased and floured bunt pan. Top with cream cheese icing if desired.

October 2011 Picture of the Month

October has arrived and so has some cooler weather. We have highs in the 80s and our lows have been in the 50s. We are still in need of some rain, but we have gotten a few sprinkles in the past week. The kids are so excited about Halloween, they had no trouble putting on this year's costumes and posing for a few pictures. Bailey is a girl werewolf and Jack is Mario. Trick-or-treat can't come soon enough!
