First Day of 2nd and 3rd

Today is the first day of school. Jack is now in 2nd grade at Willow Creek Elementary and Bailey is in 3rd grade at Hidden Hollow Elementary.

Biloxi Vaca

We just spent the week in Biloxi and had the best time.

We took the ferry to Ship Island and toured Fort Massachusetts.

Bailey is watching for dolphins chasing the ferry.

Toured the light house.

Flew a kite on the beach.

Had a wonderful place right on the beach!

We had a great time!

Last Day of WLC Summer Session

Toady is the last day of the "Cooking Gone Wild" WLC summer session. We made a few treats for the teachers to thank them for such a wonderful summer. Hard to believe today is the last day.

Little Big Planet

I'm hooked on Little Big Planet! I just finished the first one and LBP2 just came out in stores. This is one of the coolest games I have ever seen. Can't wait to play LBP2!

My New Dryer

Hate that we had to spend money on a new one, but I love all the features the new one has!

New Furniture

While I was gone on my trip, the kids and Christian picked out new family room furniture and a new kitchen table. Can't wait to have it delivered!

My Trip East

I was lucky enough to make a trip "home" to see my family. Here I am with my Grandma, Betty Walter, and sister, Kelly Tolley, at Autumn Meadows in Gambrills, Maryland. After, we met my Aunt Pat, Patricia McAllister, for lunch at Olive Garden.

Took a few pictures with my Mom and Dad, Barbara & Mike Walter, at their house in St. Mary's County Maryland.

Spent a day with my Great Aunt Ginny, Virginia Nystrom, in Potomac Falls, Virginia. We went to lunch at Sweetwater Tavern and then shopping at the outlet mall.
Kelly and I are enjoying a wonderful Italian meal at Buca di Beppo in DC.
I had such a great time and it went by super fast. So nice to see everyone!

4th of July 2011

Took the kids to see the annual 4th of July parade in Pinehurst. It is way smaller than the one they do in Kingwood and has a nice hometown feel. We all dressed in red, white and blue and cheered as the parade participants passed. There was a ban on fireworks this year because of the drought, but we did grill out and go to the pool.

AUMC Celebrates America's Birthday

AUMC had hamburgers, hot dogs, watermelon and apple pie to celebrate 4th of July this year. Here is of Bailey sporting her red, white and blue.

We had a great time despite the ac in the gym not working.

Four Generations

On our last trip to East Texas, we took some four generation pictures. In this picture is Jeanne Crager, Jack, Bailey, Christian and Esther Barger.

In back we have Bob, Bailey and Christian. In the front is Mary Ellen and Jack.
We are not often in the same room, so I had to insist on taking some pictures. Going to have them printed and framed for everyone!

July 2011 Picture of the Month

It’s JULY! We have been taking full advantage of the pool, library and the local attractions. Can't wait to see what the remaining weeks of summer hold for the Barger's!

Cars 2

Took the kids to see Cars 2 yesterday. The kids snack at Starplex was a Cars themed box and souvenir cup. Movie was cute. I like the original Cars movie better, but the kids loved this one.

Pirates Bay

Pirates Bay is colorful Pirate themed water play center complete with a large dumping bucket and an awesome array of spray nozzles, tot slides, and water guns, a 671 foot long lazy river and two large slide towers. Tower activities include fun for both the little ones and daredevils with everything from run-out slides to racing tubes. They also have a flowrider surfing machine. We did it ALL. Bailey did awesome on the surf machine and we couldn't keep Jack off all the big slides. I took pictures with a disposable waterproof camera. Can't wait to get my pictures back!

Pirate Party

Ahoy mates….took the kids to a pirate party at the library and we dressed the part!
