We played mini golf.

Bowled a few games.

Jack even got to race cars.

They also have an incredible buffet. We had an amazing time!

The Lorax

We took in the movie "The Lorax" today. It was cute.

The kids really enjoyed it!

Jack's Open House

Last night was Jack's open house at WCE. Here he is with his second grade teacher, Mrs. King.

Jack did a great drawing of Lincoln.

We visited the music room and played with some instruments.

Love my Cowboy Jack!

Jack won a blue ribbon for his Picture that went along with the book "Why Cowboys Sleep With Their Books On" for speach class.We had a great time and best of all Grandma got to go!

Bailey's 3rd Grade Open House

Tonight was open house at HHE. Here is a picture of Bailey and her 3rd grade teacher Mrs. Nevins.

March Picture of the Month

It's March 2012 and we got a new Town and Country van! I don't know who is more excited, me or the kids. This is the first time they have a new car experience. We traded in the Miada and are going to keep the Tribute. March is going to be a busy month. With the kids' open houses at school, spring break, and a visit from Grandma. Looking forward to it all!

Player of the Day

Today, Jack B was awarded the title "PLAYER OF THE DAY" in the First in Math Online Mathematics Program!

JB's Science Fair Project

Here is my Jackie Boy with his Science Fair Project. Jack sorted and counted M&Ms to see if there was a color that appeared more than the rest. He counted 48 packages (2,704 M&Ms) and found that green was the color that appeared the most and brown was the least. He did a great job on his display board and on his “interview” at school.

His teacher, Mrs. Clarke, emailed me the following note: "I wanted to let you know how awesome Jack did yesterday at the science fair :) He didn't need any help answering the judges questions and they were soo impressed with the research he did!! I took a picture of him with his project and when I get a copy I will give you
one. Be very proud he did soo good."

HHE Staff Valentine's Day Gift

I gave the HHE staff a Sharpie for their Valentine's Day gift today. I attached a label that said "The PTA thinks you're 'Sharp'" on one side and the other side said "Happy Valentine's Day". They were a big hit!

February Picture of the Month

February has arrived and we are still remodeling our house. This has been going on for a couple of months now and the end is in sight. Working on the kitchen and family room now. I'll post pictures of the work when we are finished.

Jack's 100th Day Shirt

Jack had to have a shirt for the 100th day of school. I used painters tape to make my 100 outline and then sewed buttons to create the number 100. In hind sight, it may have been easier to hot glue on the buttons. It still turned out super cute and he can wait to wear it to school.

Kitchen Reveal

We recently had a plumber come out and he had to cut holes in my ceiling. This turned out to be a good and a bad thing. The bad was that I caused the water leak with my amazing shower caulk work. The good news was we had a contractor, Rhema Renovators, to come out and fix the holes. In addition to that dry wall work we also had them remove the soffit that separates the kitchen from the eating area. Here are the before pictures.

Here is the end result! We had them hang a factory cabinet on the wall.

The contractor even used some of the old dry wall/wallpaper to fix my boarder. I was very pleased with the work that was done and would highly recommend the guys who did this work. We plan to remove the wall paper and paint. Can't wait to see it!

Seth's 9th Birthday

The kids both had a great time a Seth's birthday. They had pizza.

Games 2 U brought video games.
They also did laser tag.

What a fun birthday!

Bailey's Science Fair Project

Here is Bailey with this year's Science Fair Project "What Color and Type of M&M Melt the Fastest?". Bailey did a great job with this year's project and got 4th place.

Bailey Get Her Bible

Today was the 3rd Grade Bible Presentation at the 11am service during the Children's Moment.

Bailey was so excited to receive her own bible.

We are going to miss the bible blast off because of the Science Fair setup.

Bathroom Reno

Okay, so I didn't take the before pictures. Here is our after picture.

Christian, my handyman, replaced the light fixture, facets, towel bar, painted the cabinets white and replaced the show curtain rode with one that bows out. I bought new cups, toothbrush holders and a trash can too!

January 2012 Picture of the Month

We are starting the year off with all smiles. We have had two weeks off for our Christmas break and are ready to start back to school.
