Stain Stick Spot Checkers
I have been using Spray 'N Wash with Resolve Power Stain Stick for a while now and can’t say enough great things about this product. I just leave one of these stain sticks in each bathroom. If you have a stain, you just rub with the stain stick and throw it in the hamper. Specially formulated so you can treat stains when they happen, and then wash later—up to a week later! I’m training my kids to pretreat their own stains. They both love using the stain stick and are getting to be quite the spot checkers. And my husband, well, that's another story ;~)Monday, June 15, 2009

A fun Earth Day DVD is Schoolhouse Rock: Earth. It is the same Schoolhouse Rock that I remember as a child, but with some new songs and characters. Click here to see a short video clip.Saturday, June 6, 2009
Moocho Fun Friday
Yesterday, Kristi and I took the kids to Chick-fil-A for Moocho Fun Friday. The kids played in the play area, had fun meeting the Cow, played a game for free stuff and ate lunch. Their favorite part is trading in their toy for an ice cream. For my two kids, it doesn’t get much better than this ;~)

Sensory Friendly Films & Zac Browser
This post is for my friends, like me, that have a child with Autism. AMC & Autism Society of America have come together to bring families affected by autism and other disabilities a special opportunity to enjoy their favorite films in a safe and accepting environment on a monthly basis with the ”Sensory Friendly Films” program. In order to provide a more accepting and comfortable setting for this unique audience, the movie auditoriums will have their lights brought up and the sound turned down, families will be able to bring in their own gluten-free, casein-free snacks, and no previews or advertisements will be shown before the movie. Additionally, audience members are welcome to get up and dance, walk, shout or sing - in other words, AMC’s “Silence is Golden®” policy will not be enforced unless the safety of the audience is questioned. Tickets are $4-6 depending on location and can be purchased on the day of the event.Click Here for a List of Participating Theaters Willowbrook 24, 17145 Tomball PkwyHouston, TX 77064, participates in this program.
ZAC Browser - Zone for Autistic Children is also a great web site.
ZAC is the first web browser developed specifically for children with autism, and autism spectrum disorders such as Asperger syndrome, pervasive developmental disorders (PDD), and PDD-NOS. We have made this browser for the children - for their enjoyment, enrichment, and freedom. Children touch it, use it, play it, interact with it, and experience independence through ZAC.

June '09 Picture of the Month
Summer time is upon us and we are taking full advantage of the pool. The kids are both counting the days until June 3rd, the last day of school. Bailey is finishing Kindergarten and headed to the first grade. Jack has made tremendous progress in his program and is going to Kindergarten (with an aide for 180 minutes of a 300 minute day) next year. We are all doing summer school this year. Christian will teach Economic for the high school. I am teaching the two's at my preschool. Bailey is going to addend at my summer program. Jack's summer program is Social Skills and Social Understanding. This is a new program and we are very fortunate to be a part of it. This is just want we needed before Kindergarten!
